Things you can do on ITworld:
ITworld is designed to be an "open exchange" that allows IT professionals, technology vendors, and other industry luminaries to participate in creating content around their favorite topics.
As a contributor, you participate in building the content on ITworld by sharing and discussing best practices, how-tos, opinions, news or industry events.
Here are some things you can do:
Submit an article you've written
Write an article, a product review, an opinion on a recent news story, or the like. But, before you post, make sure it's useful to others. To submit, click on Contribute anywhere on the site. If you're logged in, you'll get a page that allows you to submit your content, give yourself a byline, and choose the topic it belongs to. Your submission will appear immediately on that topic's home page. No press releases, product announcements, or marketing materials please.
Point to an article on another site
Submit an article you found helpful or just plain interesting. Write a short teaser and include why you like it, and a link to the original article. To submit, click on Contribute anywhere on the site, and follow the steps above.
Share a tip or how-to
Submit a clever way to do something, a short-cut, a hack, or a more in-depth how-to. To submit, click on Contribute anywhere on the site, and follow the steps above.
Find your article
Articles with the most page views are listed in the "most popular" section on the home and topic pages. You can also subscribe to topic-specific RSS feeds.
Make it popular
If you like something, tell your peers. Click the "I like it" icon next to the article.

Email favorite articles to colleagues, friends, family.
Discuss
Offer your considered reflection by commenting on any article or blog post.

Promote yourself
